FOR YOUR BACKPACK: Mix together warm water and a drop of detergent. Using a clean toothbrush, spot treat dirty areas in a gentle circular motion. Wipe with a dry, clean cloth. If your bag gets very dirty, you can machine wash on delicate in a garment bag and let it air dry.
FOR YOUR MOUTHPIECE: Detach mouthpiece and hose from the water bladder. Separate the hard black piece from the rubber outer piece on the mouthpiece. Allow both pieces to soak in a container with hot water with a drop of dish soap. After the mouthpiece has soaked for 10 - 15 minutes, take the pieces out of the soapy solution. With a clean toothbrush, scrub each piece and rinse with warm water. Set aside to air dry.

Before I bought this, I was using a different brand but it was not fully compatible and the mouthpiece would fall off. This one by Hauter is PERFECT. The band is thin enough so that the mouthpiece stays on and the cap is very tight. The extra mouthpiece is great to have on hand as well since I am clumsy and sometimes lose things. This is definitely a must have!
